Does the NKB1000-E (Black) record video directly to an internal hard drive?

No, this device is a dedicated controller designed for managing PTZ movements and DVR menus. It does not have internal storage for video recording; your footage will continue to be stored on your NVR, DVR, or network server.

Can I use the NKB1000-E with Dahua SmartPSS software on my computer?

Yes, the NKB1000-E can be connected to your PC via a USB cable. This allows you to use the physical joystick to control PTZ cameras and navigate the interface within Dahua SmartPSS or DSS management platforms for a more professional workflow.

How does the 3-axis joystick improve the user experience compared to a mouse?

The 3-axis joystick on this Dahua controller allows for simultaneous panning, tilting, and zooming (by twisting the handle). This provides much more fluid and precise tracking of moving objects than clicking on-screen buttons with a mouse.
