  1. Liam O’Connor –

I picked up this Ajax detector for my hallway, and it’s been fantastic. The pet immunity feature really works; my terrier runs around, and the alarm stays silent. Installation was straightforward with the SmartBracket. Great service from apsardze24.lv as well!

    Liam O’Connor –

Will a robotic vacuum cleaner trigger the alarm on the MotionProtect White?

Generally, no. The detector uses a software algorithm called SmartDetect to filter out thermal noise and movement near the floor level, provided the sensor is installed at the recommended height.

Does the MotionProtect Wireless PIR Motion Detector record video clips?

No, this specific model is a motion sensor only. It detects movement and sends an alert to the hub. If you require visual verification of alarms (photos), please consider the Ajax MotionCam model.

Which mobile app is required to set up the MotionProtect White Ajax Wireless Detector?

You need to download the **Ajax Security System** app, which is available for free on both iOS and Android. The app allows you to connect the device to your hub, adjust sensitivity, and monitor battery life.

How long does the battery last in the MotionProtect White Ajax Wireless Detector?

The device comes with a pre-installed CR123A battery that operates for up to **5 years** under normal usage conditions. You will receive a notification on your phone well in advance when the battery needs replacing.

What is the wireless range of the MotionProtect PIR Motion Detector from the central hub?

Using the proprietary Jeweller protocol, this detector can communicate with the hub at a distance of up to **1,700 meters** in an open space, ensuring reliable coverage even in large homes or offices.

Is the Ajax MotionProtect White sold here the official EU version?

Yes, **Apsardze24.lv** is an Authorized Partner, and we only stock the **Official EU version**. This ensures full compatibility with local frequencies, regular firmware updates, and no region locking issues.

Can I install this detector in a garage with fluctuating temperatures?

The sensor operates effectively between **-10°C and +40°C** and automatically adjusts sensitivity in hot conditions. However, it is strictly for indoor use. For unheated spaces dropping below -10°C, please contact us at [email protected] for suitable alternatives.

What is the correct installation height for the MotionProtect White to ensure pet immunity works?

For the pet immunity feature (ignoring pets up to 20kg and 50cm) to function correctly, the detector must be mounted at a height of **2.4 meters**. The included SmartBracket makes positioning easy.

What happens if my MotionProtect Detector stops working after a year?

We provide a full **2-Year Warranty** for all clients. Since our service center is located in **Riga**, warranty repairs or replacements are handled locally and quickly without shipping devices abroad.
