  1. David Miller –

Ordered the Dahua 8MP WizSense camera from apsardze24.lv and I’m thoroughly impressed. The image clarity is top-notch, especially at night, and the AI human detection works like a charm. Delivery was prompt. Highly satisfied with both the product and the service!

Where can I find the latest firmware for the IPC-HDW3842EM-S?

Firmware can be updated via the camera's web interface or the ConfigTool. Using the wrong version can damage the device, so if you are unsure which file to use, please contact our technical support at [email protected] for the correct link.

What warranty do you offer if the camera breaks?

We provide a comprehensive **2-Year Warranty** for both private and business customers. Our warranty service center is located in **Riga**, ensuring that any repairs or replacements are handled locally and quickly without shipping equipment abroad.

How many days of recording can I fit on a 256GB SD card?

Since this camera uses efficient H.265+ compression, a 256GB MicroSD card can typically store about 5 to 7 days of continuous 8MP (4K) footage. If you configure the camera to record only when motion is detected, the storage duration can extend to several weeks.

Can I install the IPC-HDW3842EM-S outdoors without a cover?

Yes, the camera housing is rated **IP67**, which means it is fully dust-tight and protected against strong water jets and rain. It is built to withstand harsh weather conditions ranging from -40°C to +60°C.

Does the IPC-HDW3842EM-S include a power adapter in the box?

No, professional IP cameras usually do not come with power supplies. This model is designed to use **PoE (Power over Ethernet)**, meaning it gets power and data from a PoE switch or injector. You can also use a separate 12V DC adapter if preferred.

Is the IPC-HDW3842EM-S locked to the Chinese region?

No, we supply the **Official EU Version**. This means the camera supports English and other European languages, accepts official firmware updates, and has no region-locking issues. Apsardze24.lv is an authorized partner ensuring genuine hardware.

What mobile app is required to view the IPC-HDW3842EM-S remotely?

You should download the **DMSS** app (available for iOS and Android). It allows you to view live video, playback recordings, and receive WizSense AI push notifications directly on your smartphone.

Does this 8MP WizSense camera support two-way audio?

The camera features a high-quality **built-in microphone** for audio recording and listening. However, it does not have a built-in speaker, so you cannot use it to talk back to people through the camera.

How does the AI detection filter out rain or pets?

This model features **SMD 4.0 (Smart Motion Detection)**. It uses deep learning algorithms to distinguish humans and vehicles from other objects, effectively ignoring false alarms caused by rain, swaying trees, or small animals.

Is the 2.8mm lens on this camera good for reading license plates?

No, the 2.8mm fixed lens provides a very wide 107° viewing angle, which is perfect for seeing a whole yard or room. However, it lacks the optical zoom required to capture small details like license plate numbers clearly from a distance.
