Will this camera work if I have an older, non-Dahua DVR?

Likely yes. This camera supports multiple video formats (CVI/CVBS/AHD/TVI) and is switchable. However, to access advanced features like the motorized zoom control, audio, and Starlight settings, a compatible Dahua XVR is highly recommended. If you are unsure about your current recorder's compatibility, please email our technical support at [email protected].

How many days of footage can I record with the HAC-HFW1231R-Z-A-2712?

This camera does not have an internal SD card slot; it records directly to your DVR's hard drive. The duration depends on your hard drive size, but with modern H.265 compression enabled on your recorder, a standard 2TB drive can typically store roughly 30-40 days of continuous recording for this 2MP model.

Which mobile app allows me to view the HAC-HFW1231R-Z-A-2712 remotely?

Since this is an HDCVI camera, it connects to a DVR or XVR recorder rather than directly to the internet. To view the live feed and playback on your phone (iOS or Android), you should download the **DMSS app** and add your connected recorder to it.

Is the HAC-HFW1231R-Z-A-2712 the official EU version?

Yes, this is the **Official EU version** of the product. It supports all standard firmware updates and is not region-locked. Apsardze24.lv is an Authorized Partner, guaranteeing you receive genuine equipment meant for the European market.

What should I do if the camera stops working after one year?

We provide a comprehensive **2-Year Warranty** for both business and private clients. Our service center is located locally in **Riga**, ensuring that any warranty repairs or diagnostics are handled quickly without the need to ship the unit to an overseas warehouse.

Can I adjust the viewing angle of the HAC-HFW1231R-Z-A-2712 after mounting it?

Yes. This model features a **2.7–12mm motorized vari-focal lens**. Unlike fixed lens cameras, you can zoom in (narrow angle) or zoom out (wide angle) remotely via the DVR menu or mobile app, allowing you to fine-tune the view without physically touching the camera.

Does the built-in microphone require extra cabling for audio?

No. The HAC-HFW1231R-Z-A-2712 utilizes 'Audio over Coax' technology. It transmits broadcast-quality audio through the same coaxial cable used for the video signal, meaning you do not need to run a separate audio cable.
