WaterStop allows you to remotely shut off the water at a facility with an Ajax security system. The device combines a high-quality valve and a powerful electric actuator with a control unit connected to an Ajax hub via the Jeweller encrypted radio protocol. You can control WaterStop from anywhere in the world. Check the device status and change the valve position at any moment — all you need is an Internet connection and the Ajax app.
If LeaksProtect or a third-party water leak detector is triggered, WaterStop will automatically shut off the water in 5 seconds. At the same time, all Ajax users and the security company receive a notification about the alarm and scenario activation. In addition to the water leak alarm scenario, it is possible to set the water shut-off at a specific time or when the security system is armed.

Can I manually shut off the water if the batteries die or the system fails?

Yes, the electric actuator features a physical lever that allows you to manually open or close the valve. Additionally, the actuator can be removed without tools to access the standard valve stem.

Will the automatic water shut-off scenario work if the internet connection is lost?

Yes, automation scenarios are stored locally on the Ajax Hub. If a LeaksProtect sensor detects water, the Hub commands the WaterStop to close the valve immediately via radio signal, even without internet.

Is the Bonomi valve included with the WaterStop suitable for hot water pipes?

Yes, the high-quality RuB (Bonomi) valve is rated for water temperatures up to +120°C. However, you must ensure the ambient temperature around the electric actuator housing does not exceed +60°C.

Does the Ajax WaterStop valve work as a standalone device without a hub?

No, this device is not standalone and requires an Ajax Hub (Hub, Hub 2, Hub Plus, or Hub Hybrid) to operate. It communicates via the Jeweller radio protocol, not directly through Wi-Fi.
