  1. Sarah Jenkins –

Really impressed with this siren. The black finish looks sharp on the exterior of my house, and the install was a piece of cake. It’s plenty loud, and I love that I can tweak settings right from the app. Great service from apsardze24.lv as well!

    Sarah Jenkins –

Does the Ajax StreetSiren 38179 require external power or is it battery operated?

The device is fully wireless and comes with pre-installed batteries that last up to 5 years. It also supports an optional 12V DC external power supply for continuous operation.

Are the mounting bracket and batteries included in the box?

Yes, the package includes the SmartBracket mounting panel and 4 pre-installed CR123A batteries. For specific installation queries, please contact technical support at [email protected].

What is the wireless communication range for the StreetSiren (Black)?

The siren maintains a connection with the hub at a distance of up to 1,500 meters in an open space, though walls and obstacles will reduce this effective range.

Is it possible to adjust the volume and alarm duration of the siren?

Yes, you can configure the sound level between 85 and 113 dB and set the alarm duration from 3 seconds to 3 minutes using the Ajax mobile application.

What warranty conditions apply to this outdoor siren?

Unlike purchases from general marketplaces, Apsardze24.lv provides a **2-Year Warranty** for all clients. Our local service center in **Riga** ensures rapid support if issues arise.

Can I use this siren as a standalone device without a hub?

No, the Ajax StreetSiren requires an Ajax Hub to function. It communicates via the proprietary Jeweller radio protocol and cannot connect directly to smartphones or other alarm systems.

How does the siren perform in freezing temperatures common in the Baltics?

The StreetSiren is IP54 rated and designed to operate in temperatures as low as -25°C. However, extreme cold may slightly reduce the lifespan of the pre-installed CR123A batteries.

What happens if an intruder tries to tear the siren off the wall?

The device features a built-in accelerometer that triggers an immediate alarm if the siren is moved or detached from its SmartBracket mounting panel.

Does the LED frame indicate if the security system is armed?

Yes, the settings allow the LED frame to blink periodically to show that the system is armed, providing a visual deterrent to potential intruders.
