Why should I choose the HighMount version over the standard MotionCam Outdoor?

The HighMount model is designed for installation at 2 to 4 meters above the ground. This height keeps the device out of reach of burglars and vandals while providing a large coverage area, whereas the standard version must be mounted at 0.8–1.3 meters.

Can I use a range extender with this camera detector?

Yes, but you must use the Ajax ReX 2 radio signal range extender. Older ReX models are not supported because they cannot transmit the photo verification data used by this device.

What is the PhOD feature and how does it work?

PhOD stands for "Photo on Demand." It allows users with permission to take a photo via the Ajax app at any time to verify the situation on-site, even if no alarm has been triggered.

Is the device protected against rain and snow?
