  1. Sarah Jenkins –

I recently bought the black Ajax KeyPad from apsardze24.lv and I’m impressed. It looks very sleek on my wall near the entrance. Arming the system is super easy with just one touch. The shipping was fast, and everything arrived safely. Highly recommend this for a smart home setup.

    Sarah Jenkins –

What should I do if the KeyPad loses connection with the Hub?

Ensure the device is not mounted near large metal objects or mirrors that block radio signals. If the issue persists after checking signal strength in the app, please contact our technical support at [email protected].

What happens if an intruder enters the wrong code multiple times on the Ajax KeyPad?

The keypad automatically locks for a pre-set time (3 to 180 minutes) after three unsuccessful attempts to guess the passcode. Simultaneously, the system sends an alarm notification to the Ajax app and the Central Monitoring Station.

Is this the official EU version compatible with my existing Ajax hub?

Yes, this is the official European version compliant with EU security standards (EN 50131). It connects seamlessly to all Ajax Hub models and ReX range extenders via the Ajax Security System app.

How long do the batteries last in the Ajax KeyPad (38248) and are they replaceable?

The device runs on 4 pre-installed AAA batteries with a lifespan of up to 2 years based on standard usage. You can easily replace them by removing the device from the SmartBracket mounting panel without tools.

What warranty and support does Apsardze24.lv provide for this keypad?

We provide a comprehensive **2-Year Warranty** for both business and private clients. Unlike international marketplaces, our service center is located in **Riga**, ensuring fast local support and replacements.

What is the wireless connection range of the KeyPad model 38248?

It utilizes Jeweller radio technology to communicate up to 1,700 meters in open space. However, concrete walls, ceilings, and metal barriers inside a building will reduce this effective range.

How does the silent duress code function work?

If you are forced to disarm the system under threat, you enter a special duress code. The system appears to disarm normally (no siren), but it silently sends a panic signal to the security company and other family members.

Can I create separate passcodes for different family members or employees?

Yes, the Ajax system supports both a general access code and personal passcodes for individual users. This allows you to track exactly who armed or disarmed the system in the event log.

Does the package include everything needed for installation?

Yes, the box contains the KeyPad, the SmartBracket mounting panel, 4 pre-installed AAA batteries, an installation kit (screws/plugs), and the quick start guide. No external power supply is required.

Can I use the Ajax KeyPad (38248) outdoors or in unheated garages?

No, this device is designed strictly for indoor use within a temperature range of -10°C to +40°C. High humidity or direct exposure to rain can damage the internal electronics.
