What is the maximum wireless range between the KeyPad Plus Black and the Hub?

The keypad communicates via the Jeweller protocol with a range of up to 1,700 meters in an open area without obstacles. In a typical home or office, the signal reliably penetrates several floors or walls.

Is the Ajax KeyPad Plus suitable for outdoor installation?

No, this device is rated for indoor use only with an operating temperature range of -10°C to +40°C. Exposure to direct rain or extreme fluctuating temperatures can damage the touch panel and internal electronics.

How long do the batteries last in the KeyPad Plus and are they rechargeable?

The unit comes with pre-installed lithium AA batteries that are not rechargeable but are user-replaceable. They provide up to 4.5 years of operation, or approximately 3.5 years if the contactless reader function is actively used.

Is the Ajax KeyPad Plus (38252) compatible with the original first-generation Ajax Hub?

No, this keypad requires Hub Plus, Hub 2, Hub 2 Plus, or Hub Hybrid running OS Malevich 2.11 or higher. It does not support the original Hub model; if you are unsure about your hardware version, please contact [email protected].

Does this keypad allow me to trigger a silent alarm if forced to disarm the security?

Yes, the device supports a Duress Code feature. Entering this specific code simulates a system disarm to satisfy an intruder while silently transmitting a panic signal to the central monitoring station.

Can I use third-party NFC cards with the contactless reader on this keypad?

The KeyPad Plus is designed specifically for Ajax Pass cards and Tag key fobs that use high-security DESFire® encryption. Standard 125kHz tags or unencrypted NFC devices are not supported to ensure maximum system integrity.

What happens if the device malfunctions after purchase?

Buying from Apsardze24.lv guarantees a **2-Year Warranty** on your keypad. Our local service center in **Riga** handles warranty claims quickly, avoiding the delays common with international sellers.
