  1. Emily Jenkins –

I recently bought the Ajax KeyPad Plus from apsardze24.lv and I’m very satisfied. The white design looks sleek on my wall. Setting the alarm with a quick swipe of the key fob is an absolute breeze, saving me from typing codes every time. Fast delivery and completely hassle-free setup!

    Emily Jenkins –

Is this version compatible with the Ajax app used in the Baltic region?

Yes, this is the official EU version. It is fully supported by the Ajax Security System app used across Latvia, Estonia, and Lithuania.

How does the Duress Code feature function?

If you are forced to disarm the system, entering the Duress Code will appear to disarm the alarm normally but will silently send a panic signal to your monitoring company.

What type of batteries does this device use and how long do they last?

The unit comes with pre-installed lithium AA batteries that provide up to 4.5 years of operation. Frequent use of the RFID reader may reduce battery life to approximately 3.5 years.

Which Ajax hubs are compatible with the KeyPad Plus (38253)?

This keypad connects to Hub Plus, Hub 2, Hub 2 Plus, and Hub Hybrid. Please note it is **not** compatible with the first-generation Hub.

What is the maximum wireless range between the keypad and the hub?

The device uses the Jeweller radio protocol to communicate up to 1,700 meters in open space, though concrete walls and obstacles will reduce this effective range.

Do I need to create a dedicated account for every user with a Tag?

No, you can assign Pass cards and Tag fobs to 'Guest' users, allowing them to arm or disarm the system without requiring a registered Ajax account.

What warranty does Apsardze24.lv offer on this product?

Apsardze24.lv provides a comprehensive 2-Year Warranty for both private and business clients, with local technical support based in Riga.

Can I use standard 125 kHz key fobs with this keypad?

No, the KeyPad Plus only supports ISO 14443-A (13.56 MHz) cards and tags with DESFire® encryption, such as the official Ajax Pass and Tag.

Is the Ajax KeyPad Plus waterproof for outdoor installation?

No, this device is rated IP50 and is designed strictly for indoor use. Installing it outdoors will damage the sensors and void the warranty.
