What is the recommended mounting height for optimal face recognition performance?

To effectively utilize the 0.3 m to 1.5 m recognition range, the device should be mounted approximately 1.4 meters from the ground. This ensures the wide-angle camera captures faces of varying heights efficiently.

Can the Dahua ASI6214S-PW be unlocked using a photograph or video of a registered user?

No, the 2MP dual-lens camera features advanced anti-spoofing technology. It requires a live subject for authentication and will reject access attempts made using printed photos or digital videos.

Does the ASI6214S-PW come with a power adapter included in the box?

No, the power supply is not included in the standard manufacturer packaging. You can power the device using a standard PoE switch or purchase a separate 12V DC 1.5A power adapter from Apsardze24.lv.

What is the maximum user and log capacity for this access controller?

The unit functions as a standalone system capable of storing up to 6,000 users, 6,000 faces, 6,000 fingerprints, and 6,000 passwords. It also retains a log of the last 300,000 access records.

How does the warranty work if I encounter technical issues?

We provide a comprehensive 2-Year Warranty on this product. Unlike dropshippers, Apsardze24.lv manages service and support locally in Riga, ensuring quick resolution for any hardware defects.

Which mobile app is required for remote unlocking and video calls?

This controller works with the DMSS app (available for iOS and Android). Through the app, you can receive alarm notifications, answer video calls from the door station, and remotely unlock the door via Wi-Fi or mobile data.

Is this face recognition terminal suitable for outdoor installation in cold climates?

Yes, the device is rated IP65 for dust and water resistance and supports an operating temperature range of –30°C to 60°C. However, for installations exposed to direct heavy rain, we recommend adding a protective rain shield.
