Does the glass break detector work if installed behind thick curtains?

No, heavy curtains can muffle the sound of breaking glass and block the motion sensor's view. For reliable operation, the detector must have a clear line of sight to the window and the room interior.

Is this the official EU version compatible with the Ajax app?

Yes, this is the official EU version operating on the 868 MHz frequency band. It is fully compatible with the Ajax Security System app and receives all standard firmware updates.

Is the motion sensor safe to use with pets in the house?

Yes, the detector features a SmartDetect algorithm that ignores pets weighing up to 20 kg and up to 50 cm in height. For this feature to work correctly, the device must be installed at the recommended height of 2.4 meters.

Can I use the CombiProtect without an Ajax Hub?

No, this detector cannot function as a standalone device. It requires a connection to an Ajax Hub or ReX range extender to process signals and send alerts to your smartphone.

Will this sensor work reliably with film-coated or laminated glass?

Acoustic detectors may have reduced sensitivity with certain types of anti-vandal film or multi-layered glass. For specific compatibility advice regarding non-standard windows, please contact our technical support at [email protected].

What warranty cover is provided with this device?

Unlike buying from global marketplaces, Apsardze24.lv offers a full **2-Year Warranty**. Our service center is located in **Riga**, ensuring fast local support for clients in the Baltics.

How long does the battery last in the CombiProtect (38097)?

The device comes with a pre-installed CR123A battery that lasts up to 5 years under standard usage conditions. You can monitor the precise battery level directly in the Ajax app.

Will loud street noise or thunder trigger the glass break alarm?

No, the CombiProtect uses a two-factor digital algorithm that requires a low-frequency sound (impact) followed by a high-frequency sound (shattering) to trigger. This filters out false alarms from thunder, passing trucks, or street noise.
