  1. David Miller –

Just installed the Dahua 8MP TiOC camera from apsardze24.lv and I am thoroughly impressed! The 4K image quality is crystal clear, and the active deterrence feature gives me real peace of mind. Shipping was super fast. Highly recommend this beast of a camera!

Does the IPC-HDW3849H-AS-PV record in color at night?

Yes, it supports **Full-Color Night Vision**. The camera utilizes smart dual illuminators: it generally uses IR (infrared) for invisible monitoring in the dark, but when a target is detected, it automatically switches to a warm LED light to capture the event in vivid color. This ensures you get detailed evidence while minimizing light pollution when the area is empty.

Is this camera the official EU version or a grey market import?

This is the **Official EU version** of the device. It fully supports English firmware updates and has no region locks. Buying from **Apsardze24.lv** ensures you receive genuine hardware that complies with European standards and security protocols, unlike cheaper Chinese market versions that often fail to update.

Can the IPC-HDW3849H-AS-PV 2.8mm lens clearly read license plates at a distance?

The 2.8mm fixed lens provides a very **wide 107° field of view**, which is excellent for general surveillance of large areas like driveways, backyards, or parking lots. However, it is **not** suitable for reading license plates clearly beyond 5-8 meters. If you need to capture plate details at a greater distance, we recommend a camera with a varifocal lens or a narrower viewing angle (e.g., 6mm or higher).

How does the active deterrence feature work on this TiOC model?

This camera is equipped with **Three-in-One Camera (TiOC)** technology. When the AI detects a potential intruder (human or vehicle) entering a restricted area, it can automatically trigger **red and blue flashing lights** and a customizable siren to scare them off. You can also use the built-in microphone and speaker for **two-way talk** to verbally warn the intruder via the app.

How much recording time can I expect from a MicroSD card on this 8MP camera?

Thanks to the efficient **H.265+ compression**, video file sizes are significantly reduced. A **256GB MicroSD card** typically provides about 4-5 days of *continuous* 4K recording. However, if you configure the camera to record only when **Smart Motion Detection (SMD 4.0)** triggers (detecting humans/vehicles), that same 256GB card can store footage for several weeks.

What warranty is included with the IPC-HDW3849H-AS-PV and how is service handled?

We provide a comprehensive **2-Year Warranty** for both business and private customers. Unlike dropshippers, our service center is located locally in **Riga**, ensuring fast repairs or replacements without the need to ship equipment abroad. If you have specific configuration issues not covered here, please contact our technical support at [email protected].

Which mobile app should I use to view the IPC-HDW3849H-AS-PV remotely?

To view live feeds and manage this camera on your smartphone or tablet, download the **DMSS** app (available for free on iOS and Android). This app allows you to receive instant push notifications for human or vehicle detection, view playback, and control the active deterrence features like the red/blue flashing lights.
