Which mobile app works with the DH-PT2849C1-S-PV for remote viewing?

For remote access on your smartphone or tablet, download the **DMSS app** (available on iOS and Android). It allows you to view live 8MP video, control the Pan/Tilt functions, and receive instant alerts from anywhere.

How does the WizColor feature improve night time recording?

WizColor technology utilizes a large aperture and advanced sensor to capture **full-color images even in near-darkness**, rather than switching to grainy black-and-white infrared. This helps in accurately identifying details like the color of a car or intruder's clothing at night.

Does the DH-PT2849C1-S-PV require a power adapter or does it support PoE?

This camera supports **PoE (Power over Ethernet, 802.3af)**, allowing you to transmit both power and data through a single network cable if connected to a PoE switch or NVR. It also has a port for a standard 12V DC power adapter if you prefer a wired power source.

Is this camera the original EU version or a Chinese import?

This is the **Official EU version** of the camera, meaning it is fully compatible with local firmware updates and has no region locking issues. **Apsardze24.lv** is an Authorized Partner, ensuring you receive a genuine product compliant with European standards.

What kind of warranty do you offer if the device breaks?

We provide a comprehensive **2-Year Warranty** for both business and private customers. All warranty services and repairs are handled locally at our service center in **Riga**, ensuring a fast turnaround without the need to ship the unit abroad.

Is the 3.6mm lens on the DH-PT2849C1-S-PV good for capturing license plates?

The 3.6mm fixed lens offers a wide **93° field of view**, which is ideal for overseeing large areas like driveways or backyards. However, it is not optimized for reading license plates at long distances; for that specific task, a camera with a narrower, zoomed lens would be more effective.

Does the DH-PT2849C1-S-PV support advanced Face Recognition features?

The camera supports Human and Vehicle detection as part of its WizSense features. Advanced Face Recognition usually depends on the specific NVR capabilities you are connecting to. For compatibility checks with your specific recording equipment, please contact our technical support at [email protected].

How many days of recording can I expect with a 256GB microSD card?

Thanks to the efficient H.265 compression, a 256GB card can typically store about **4 to 6 days of continuous 24/7 recording** at 8MP resolution. If you utilize the Motion Detection (SMD 3.0) recording mode, you can extend this storage duration to several weeks.
